FMF 006: Divorce Is Not An Option- Covenant or Contract Pt 1

{ 0 comments }

In this episode of The Family Matters First Podcast we will discuss what is this whole marriage thing? Why are people afraid? Its human nature to leave when things get uncomfortable. God wants us to be still and walk through it. In marriage, failure is not an option, divorce is not an option. Today we will break down the difference between a covenant and a contract. We would like to share with you ways to divorce proof your marriage.

Amos 3:3 says “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?”

The commitment- Until death do us part

A contract is a bilateral agreement that says if you do this I will do that.

A covenant is a unilateral agreement that says I will do this regardless, in spite of, without you committing to do anything

This is from the inventor of the institution of marriage, all mighty God Himself
